Without fathers, we are exposed to the winds and travel the earth without shelter”
(Aharon Applefeld)
SYNOPSIS
The film tells the story of Mesagnau ,an Ethiopian boy, about 19 years old, who is a male
prostitute living on the streets of Tel Aviv.
Mesagnau’s father Metako (a 40 year old Ethiopian man), is making an attempt to enter his
son’s life.
15 years ago, Metako murdered his wife, Mesagnau’s mother, and was sentenced to life
imprisonment. Metako goes on leave from prison and tries, for the first time, to reestablish
contact with his son, whom he hasn’t seen since the murder.
When Mesagnau meets his real father, he hopes to undergo a process of awakening, on the
way to possible redemption.
