Our Story International Pitching Conference has been initiated at the Haifa International Film Festival since 2004 to establish and maintain professional interest and liaisons with the European market.

We have expanded to include broadcasters, producers, directors, writers, and film funds directors from Europe, USA and Canada who gather to hear, comment and select Israeli narrative projects for film and television. The Conference enjoys professional presentations and discussions of the visiting filmmakers who open their markets to new explorations.

Since 2004 numerous Israeli filmmakers have presented their stories triggering collaborations in various stages of development. Our Conference is a unique developing and marketing platform for filmmakers, the first of its kind, which encourages an intensive dialogue as well as new commitments on both sides.

The International Pitching Conference is supported by the Israel Film Council and assisted by Israel Film Fund, Makor Foundation for Film and Television, Israel Export Institute, British Council and BI ARTs – British Israel Arts Training Scheme.

The Conference is in collaboration with the Israel Scriptwriters Guild and Israel Film and TV Producers Association.

Development Assistance Grants of Israel Film Fund and Makor Foundation will be granted at the end of the conference according to the International Table Jury decision.

Our Story Pitching Activities have turned into a full creative and marketing international Forum which takes place during 3 days of consultations, workshops and Master Classes, Pitch Seminar, and the Conference itself.

Haifa Israeli Cinemarket with its Work In Progress and Israeli New Films Showcase will enhance the practical angle of embarking on the voyage and docking safely to delight audiences.

In order to keep tab on projects and spread our opportunities all year round Our Story Pitching Forum is planning a Mid Year Crossing Lab to deal with screenwriting and the preparation for international presentations outside of Israel.  We plan this for January 2012.
